C.O.P.S. National Office

The National Office of Concerns of Police Survivors, Inc. relocated from the Washington, DC, area to Camdenton, Missouri, on the Lake of the Ozarks in August 1993.  In the fall of 2001, C.O.P.S. constructed a new National Headquarters in Camdenton.

Fundraising, activity planning, production of printed materials, and coordination of all services and programs are handled from this office.  Currently C.O.P.S. employs a staff of 9.


Suzie Sawyer

Suzie is the Executive Director and is responsible for carrying through the directives of the National Board.  Suzie has served as Executive Director since C.O.P.S. was organized in 1984.  She oversees the day-to-day business of the organization as provided through grants, directives, and general needs of the organization.  Contact Suzie.

Lynn Kuse

Lynn is the Financial Director  for National C.O.P.S.  She pays the bills, tracks grant and non-grant expenditures, and crunches all the numbers - no small task!  Lynn joined the C.O.P.S. staff in June 1996.  Contact Lynn.

Robby Robinson

Robby joined the C.O.P.S. staff in October 1997 and is the Graphics and Multi-Media Specialist.  A native of the Camdenton area, Robby is well-versed in many computer software applications and assists with many and varied projects in the office.  C.O.P.S. documents can now be downloaded from this site through Robby's work, and he does the in-house design and graphics work for C.O.P.S. hands-on programs and trainings.  Contact Robby.

Glenda Strange

Glenda joined the staff in June 2004.  Glenda  maintains the data files for officer deaths, surviving families, law enforcement agencies, and C.O.P.S. chapters.  She works closely with Federal offices, agencies, and chapters to insure that every eligible survivor is aware of C.O.P.S. programs.  Contact Glenda.

Melissa Murray

Melissa joined the C.O.P.S. staff in November 2004 as the Executive Director's assistant.  In April 2007 Melissa became the new Development Coordinator.  She handles the in-house fundraising and documentation, obtains and disseminates all United Way, CFC and SECC applications as well as workplace campaigns, handles all incoming checks, Tree of Life leaf orders, produces and maintains the Friends of C.O.P.S. and Partners in Law Enforcement programs, coordinates all aspects of State Registrations so C.O.P.S. may fundraise in those states, and handles other fundraising activities.  Contact Melissa.

Erin Bishop

Erin assumed the position of Program Coordinator in December 2006.  Erin coordinates all aspects of C.O.P.S. hands-on programs for survivors as well as the Traumas of Law Enforcement trainings.  Erin is a recent college graduate of Graceland College (has nothing to do with Elvis, though) with a degree in sociology and minor in psychology.  She played center on the college basketball team and moved to the Lake of the Ozarks from Osceola, IA.  Contact Erin.

Lori Graves

Lori joined the C.O.P.S. staff in July 2007 and is the Executive Director's assistant.  Her primary duty is to work closely with the Executive Director to relieve some of the paperwork on the Executive Director’s desk.  Drafting letters, working with printers, vendors, and the C.O.P.S. National Board are all part of Lori’s responsibilities.  Lori also handles all the arrangements for the law enforcement conferences that C.O.P.S. representatives attend.  Contact Lori.

Deb Everman

Deb Everman took on the new position of Benefits Coordinator at the National C.O.P.S. Office. She officially started on December 30, 2007.  Deb is in the process of moving to the Lake of the Ozarks area lake from Joliet, IL with her husband, Wayne.  The Everman’s have three grown daughters who are all going their own directions in life yet agonizing that mom and dad are leaving Joliet.  Deb is anxious to take on her new job and this new responsibility and looks forward to working with the C.O.P.S. members nationwide who are about to become trained Benefits Consultants.  Contact Deb.

Carolyn Davinroy

Carolyn has worked for C.O.P.S. since July, 1, 2008.  Her responsibilities encompass anything that brings money into National C.O.P.S. treasury, raising money for the HOP’s, 25th Anniversary, C.O.P.S. Walk, and several other events are all on her plate.  Contact Carolyn.
